We are delighted to announce André Lichtenberg as our judge for our Abstract photography fineart Photography #photocontest. You have until the 23rd April to enter and can win cash and be exhibited at our May Festival as prizes.
André Lichtenberg (b.1964 – Brazil), currently lives and works in UK.
Lichtenberg is a fine art photographer (with a scientific background). His projects investigate childhood patterns and memories in connection with studies of the environment and architecture. His images are carefully constructed using techniques that fluctuate between science and art. André collaborates with publications such as the Sunday Times magazine, London and Le Monde, Paris.
His current project, Within Series II, which created monumental constructed aerial cityscapes of London, New York, Paris & Sao Paulo, has been awarded a couple of grants by the Arts Council England.
The most famous landscape photographer in history whose black-and-white photographs of the American West, have been widely reproduced. He helped create the Zone System, a technique that figured out the optimal film exposure and development and he was also one of the founders of the magazine Aperture
The top three cash prizes winners will be announced at our Private View at the Bridge Lounge in London on 29th February (your invitation will be in your inbox soon!).
