ABOUT THE IMAGE:
This photograph was taken in the city of Curitiba, PR, Brazil. The image captured the instant when several urban artistic interventions were reflected on a rain puddle, along with some more elements. What really caught me on this image was, at first, the intense contrast between the outside – shown by the unfinished window cut and its reflect – and the inside, shown in the rest of the scene. I mean: to me, in this image, it really looks like reality became a picture on the wall. After I took it, other thing that called my attention was the difference between the real window, where we can see some buildings, and the reflected window, where we can see the sky. So, it’s a reflection, but it shows a different thing than what it reflects. Ain’t that peculiar? The letters “CWB”, in the title, refer to the IATA Code of Curitiba. The urban interventions registered on the photo were made by Artestenciva, Bruno Romã, Paula Ariana Calory (PAC) and other unidentified artists.
