Thinking of entering October’s Festival? You have until midnight 21st September, so best get cracking!

16-18th October: London Photo Festival

We have extended the deadline for October’s Festival until midnight 21st September and the theme is ‘landscape photography’.

Many landscape photographs show little or no human activity and are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature devoid of human influence, instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined landforms, weather, and ambient light.

We have also widened the theme to include urban landscape photography.

Book your place now and upload your images by the 21st September.
Would you like to volunteer for us and get £50 off your space? We are looking for two bar tenders for the Private View on the 15th October (6-8pm) and a bar person for our Click ‘n Clique evening on the 17th October (6-8pm).  This offer cannot be used in conjunction with the October Festival Special.  Get in touch if you would like to help.

“We created the London Photo Festival in 2011 to showcase up and coming talent and to provide new and emerging photographers with an opportunity to exhibit their work, have it professionally appraised and sell their work to the public. We will be holding our 7th Festival in October and we hope to continue to grow and promote photographers from around the globe,” said Emma Mapp and Kit Shah, Co-founders of the London Photo Festival.

October 2013’s Judge, Zoe Whishaw, commercial photographer, editor and art director, formerly of Getty Images will be hosting a Master Class on “Commercial Travel Photography: Considerations and Practice” and tickets can be obtained directly from the Festival’s website. This October’s Judge will be announced in due course.

The London Photo Festival continues to help, support and launch the careers of photographers:

May’s “Best in Show’s” winner was Mark Heathcote’s ‘Spotted on the Underground judged by Colin O’Brien’. Mark Heathcote commented; “I have attended the two previous Festivals and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the submissions and the opportunity given to emerging photographers to showcase their work in such an incredible venue. This festival is a must see for anyone interested in photography, and being a part of the 2014 festival gave me great pride; winning first place was unexpected and a great honour, especially since this was my first exhibition. Thank you to all the organisers for giving myself and everyone else the opportunity to showcase their work. I very much look forward to the next one.”
